Tap a star to rate

PKE Pensionskasse Energie is a pension institution based in Zurich for employees of the energy sector. It grants its own mortgages, not only to its insured members but to private individuals and legal entities regardless of membership. It finances single-family homes, multi-family homes, and condominiums in Switzerland, while holiday and second homes are excluded.

Its mortgage offering includes fixed-rate mortgages with terms of two to fifteen years as well as variable-rate mortgages. Loans exceeding two-thirds of the property value are amortized over ten to fifteen years. PKE handles the financing in-house and does not require additional products; a quote can be requested through its contact channels.

In addition, the retirement capital saved in the second pillar can be withdrawn in advance or pledged within the framework of home ownership promotion, for instance to buy self-occupied housing, to amortize a mortgage, or for shares in a housing cooperative. PKE points out that an advance withdrawal reduces the later retirement benefit, while pledging leaves the insured benefits intact. The website is available in German, French, and Italian.
