AKB is the leading bank in the canton of Aargau and guides private customers from the building application right through to handover of the keys. The construction loan works as a credit line: money is only drawn when it's needed, which keeps interest costs low during the build.

Once construction is finished, the loan is converted into a long-term mortgage, with AKB taking on the whole coordination effort. The bank also offers bridge financing for cases where a new property is bought before the old one has been sold.
