AXA

AXA is a Swiss insurer that grants mortgages for financing home ownership. In its retail business the company finances owner-occupied homes from a mortgage amount of 600,000 francs, with a higher minimum for rented investment properties. It does not finance building land, vacation properties, properties abroad, or agricultural, hotel or industrial properties, among other exclusions. Customers can choose a fixed-rate mortgage, a SARON mortgage or a variable mortgage.

Advice is personal and free of charge, and interest is charged quarterly. The documents needed for the financing confirmation and the mortgage application are described on the website, and a mortgage calculator plus a renovation and CO2 calculator are available online. For sustainable measures such as renewable heating or better insulation, AXA grants a discount on part of the financing.
